Two members of the Council of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers-Kluvgan and Dobrynin-came out of it due to Russia's annexation of the territories of Ukraine

Dobrynin and Livganes were among the main initiators and signatures of the anti -war statement of the FPA. After that, Dobrynin left the position of state secretary of the chamber, saying that he could not fulfill the powers "in connection with the current situation." The anti -war circulation was followed by a scandal, since part of the members of the Council of the FPA made an appeal in support of the “special operation”. It was their supporters of Alexei Navalny that introduced those against whom the EU should impose sanctions. At the same time, President of the FPA Yuri Pilipenko, who also signed anti -war circulation, was also included in the list.

Both appeals due to the scandal were removed from the FPA website, and from those who signed the anti-war statement they demanded to withdraw signatures. As a source in the ward told The Insider, one of the signatures of anti -war circulation - the president of the AP of the Moscow Region Alesksay Galoganov - withdrew his signature and signed an alternative appeal.

After Russia adopted the annexed “DPR”, “LPR”, as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions, new lawyer chambers operating in the annexed Ukrainian territories may include FPA. The departure of lawyers may be associated with an unwillingness to associate themselves with such decisions.

On September 27, on the eve of the annexation of the Ukrainian regions , the judge of the Constitutional Court of Russia Konstantin Aranovsky, who often did not agree with the decisions of the Constitutional Court, for example, opposed the restrictions for foreigners to own the Russian media and spoke about censorship in Russia, resigned ahead of schedule. The court did not name the reasons for his dismissal.

Earlier, the Doctor of Economics, Director of the Center for Research of the Pribstoral Society, Vladislav Inozemtsev, told The Insider that the Fund for Corruption (FBK) proposes to introduce to the sanctions lists the leadership of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers, in particular, Igor Mikhailovich, Alexei Galoganov and Yuri Pilipenko. However, according to Inozemtsev, you should not impose sanctions against these persons, since not all members of the chamber of lawyers are “friends of the regime”. According to him, it is necessary to be more careful about lawyers who "play in modern Russian society, rather, a positive role and themselves are objects of numerous attacks from the regime."
