Despite the fact that “conversations about the important” is an extracurricular lesson, and the right to choose whether to attend these lessons remains for the parents of students, the media and Telegram channels have repeatedly reported that students and students themselves were threatened in case of their non-disclosure.
Earlier, RIA Novosti published fake news that students of educational institutions are obliged to attend lessons “Talk about the important”. The news agency referred to the explanations of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. However, there is no such statement in the explanations of the Ministry of Education. In fact, the authorities to the question of the obligation to visit the answer, publishing the wording “In accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard, extracurricular activities are part of the educational program” (Federal State Educational Standard - Federal State Educational Standards).
The lessons “Talking about the important” define the Ministry of Education itself as teaching students to patriotism, the history of the country and its cultural values. In June, it was reported that among the topics of such class hours-the 110th anniversary of the author of the hymns of the USSR and Russia Sergey Mikhalkov, the “Immortal Regiment” and “reunification with the Crimea”. In St. Petersburg, during the preparation of teachers for these lessons, it was stated that in this way children are trying to “protect from the Internet”, which is especially important “during a special operation”.
With a lesson dedicated to propaganda, every school week of all schoolchildren from grades 1 to 11 will begin. The “Teachers Alliance” calls on parents to complain to the directors of schools and at the Ministry of Education of “Talking about the Important”, and teachers - refuse to conduct special lessons, defending the freedom of choosing an educational program.
