The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation included alcoholic beverages in the list of goods that can be imported into Russia as part of the so -called parallel import.
The list, in particular, is Jack Danielʼ, Jim Beam, White Horse, Bushmills, Sauza tequila, Jägermeister liqueur, Kahlua and Malibu.
Also, dozens of brands appeared in the section "Toys, games and sports equipment." Among them are Adidas, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Ferrari, Mercedes, Disney, Marvel and DC Comics.
“Parallel Import” is customary to call the import of goods into the country without the official permission of the copyright holder, carried out “parallel” to official supplies. After the sanctions, the official supplies of many goods ceased, but the Russian press continues to call imports without the permission of the copyright holder “parallel”, even if this import channel remained the only one.
In August, Russian retailers asked the government to resolve the “parallel import” of foreign alcohol, including champagne. Sanctions, as the Association of Retail Companies said, can deprive Russians of imported drinks for the New Year - this applies, in particular, Moet, Veuve Clicquot, Finlandia, Jack Daniel's, Baileys, Jonnie Walker, Hennessy. According to this scheme, it was also proposed to import Jägermeister, Captain Morgan, BoddingTons, Heineken, Carlsberg and Guinness beer.
