On December 21, Elon Musk said that he would leave the post of head of Twitter as soon as he finds a "fool who agrees to take up this work."

The day before, the businessman launched a vote on Twitter with the question of whether he should resign from the post of director Twitter - 57.5% of the social networks answered in the affirmative. In total, more than 17 million people participated in the vote.

Ilon Musk became the owner of Twitter at the end of October and immediately stated that he would rebuild the company's work. After that, mass reductions began in the company, and the remaining employees were offered to work extracurricingly. Against this background, advertisers began to leave the social network.

Elon Musk himself assures that his main goal in the post is to protect freedom of speech. He made public “Twitter files” - the internal correspondence of the company from which it supposedly follows that political censorship was practiced on the social network.
