The leadership of the charter airline Azur Air (the largest in the Russian Federation) started a case on suspicion of corruption. This was reported by RBC with reference to a source in the Investigative Committee. It is not known who exactly concerns the matter, while “unidentified faces” appear in the case.
According to the publication, the airline employees issued at that time the head of the flight department of the flight operation of the Federal Air Transport Agency Maxim Kostylev Tutivka to Turkey, the cost of which was almost 5 million rubles below the market prices of tickets with similar conditions.
The vouchers included the flight with a business class and accommodation in an elite hotel owned by the chairman of the supervisory board of Azur Air.
Investigators believe that the organization of such a vacation could affect the results of checking the airline from the Federal Air Transport Agency, which revealed a “limited number of violations”. The Federal Air Transport Agency also promised to issue permission to issue additional passenger flights.
