Denis Kamalyagin, editor -in -chief of the Pskov Province Blocked publication, said that a note about Mariupol was removed from the admin of the site based on the Tilda platform. When the editorial office addressed the question of the platform administration, she was told that they would not do this if the publication does not create a “mirror” of the site.
“We were not just blocked without warning, but also (just surprisingly) manually cut one text from the admin panel. It was a text about Mariupol and his life before the New Year. Of course, we restored everything, but we ran into Tilda, asking how to ask for some violations if you do not even give us access to internal administration. And “Tilda” answered. Do you know what? They said that if we promise not to make “mirrors”, they will try to agree with us. And if we continue to make new versions of the “province”, then yes - we went over. ”
The “mirror” is called the exact copy of the site, recreated on another domain. Blocked publications are forced to create “mirrors” to avoid blocking.
The Pskov province website has been blocked since March 2022, and Kamalyagin itself was included in the list of “foreign agents”. At the same time, according to Kamalyagin, since the beginning of 2023, the Prosecutor General and RKN began to block the site almost every day - “Yesterday they again blocked the page on Tilde (14 times), today - the main site (15)”.
Tilda is a popular Russian site designer.
