The court refused to revise Prigozhin’s lawsuit against Venediktov, despite the fact that the founder of the PMC himself recognized his wrong

The Presnensky court of Moscow did not revise the decision on the inaccuracy of the information widespread by Alexei Venediktov that businessman Evgeny Prigozhin is the owner of the PMC Wagner. Such a decision was made, despite the fact that Prigozhin himself had previously abandoned claims to Venediktov and admitted that his lawsuit was based on false facts and that he was indeed the creator of Wagner PMC.

Prigozhin sued Venediktov in 2021 due to the fact that he called him the "owner of the PMC Wagner." In August 2022, the court recognized information about Prigozhin to the PMC Wagner inaccurate. However, just a month after that, Prigozhin admitted that he really created PMC in 2014. On January 19, his press service published a response that refers to the causes of conspiracy.

Prigozhin stated that he would be happy to give a victory in the court of Venediktov, and the fact that he defended a false position on non -involvement in the PMC was explained by the “conspiratorial necessity”:

“There was a time when I had to go and sue Venediktov and others, because there was a conspiracy need to say that Wagner's PMC did not exist. The first, because the work that Wagner's PMC performed could not always be public. The second, because the Wagner PMC both in Russia and abroad have always had many enemies and envious people. <...> Today, when the regime of silence about Wagner's PMC fulfilled his task, I will gladly give a victory in this court to Comrade Venediktov. And if there is a desire, then to all those who I won them. ”
