The European Union will prohibit supplying toils to Russia. Products are in a 146-page list of goods that will no longer be exported in the Russian Federation as part of the tenth package of EU sanctions. It is reported by Euobserver with reference to the project of a new sanctions package.
The list includes bidet, toilets, flush tanks “and similar plumbing”, as well as LEDs, hemp yarn, fork loaders, mail sorting machines, chimneys, bricks, tires and even “pens for pens”.
It is noted that the main goal of a trade embargo worth € 11 billion per year is to stop the sale of high -tech goods that can be used in Russian weapons systems. This part of the sanctions package included electronics, lasers, radio equipment, software, avionics, sea chambers and rare earth minerals.
In addition, the ban applies to “water -market systems to combat unrest or riots”, “stationary or mounted electric shock weapons that covers a large area and can hit several people with electric shock”, as well as “stationary equipment for the spread of paralyzing or irritating chemicals”.
Pyrotechnics also affects the new package, including stage: it will be forbidden to export “pyrotechnic devices intended exclusively for commercial purposes” in the Russian Federation. Assets of approximately 130 Russians will also be frozen, they will cease to issue visas. According to EU diplomats, these are mainly Russian propagandists, as well as politicians, military leaders and civil servants.
In addition, the broadcasting of RT Arabic and Sputnik Arabic will be prohibited, which are included in the Russian MIA Holding today. Four banks will be disconnected from SWIFT: Alfa-Bank, Tinkoff Bank and Rosbank.
It is assumed that the new sanctions package will be accepted by the anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine - February 24.
At the time of 2021, the share of imported plumbing in Russia amounted to 15%. The country has its own production, but it greatly depends on materials that are mostly imported, including Ukraine. For example, there was a material called Schliker, which includes Kaolin (white clay), quartz and field spar. There are Kaolin deposits in Russia, its production is underway. But so far she cannot satisfy the needs of manufacturers.
Therefore, most likely, it is worth expecting even more growth in plumbing prices, which began already in 2022. As the chairman of the Association of manufacturers and suppliers of plumbing Igor Georgi noted then, with the beginning of the war, manufacturers began to look for suppliers within the country:
“They are, but due to sharply increased demand, logistics problems arise-the need for urgent increase in production, the throughput of railway units and the number of wagons for bulk raw materials. These issues are resolved, but it takes time for their solution, therefore, some plants (first of all those who used exclusively foreign raw materials) are forced to reduce production volumes. ”
