“VK, Rutube, Zen-shit, not platforms”-Blogger Stas, as simple, whose YouTube channel was deleted for videos about Ukraine

The popular video blogger Stas, how simple (Stanislav Vasiliev) announced farewell to his media career. According to him, after the transition from YouTube to domestic analogues, views of his videos fell, and he practically lost his earnings.

“Since I am one of the first bloggers who went after removing from YouTube to domestic platforms, I consider it necessary to tell about my experience so that you are ready. My verdict is unequivocal is death, ”wrote Vasiliev. He called VKontakte and Rutube technically imperfect, outdated and inconvenient resources for the user, and Zen, according to the blogger, “simply does not have an audience.” Vasiliev noted that he understands those who stopped looking after the transition to these platforms.

The blogger claims that VKontakte does not allow monetizing political content. According to him, with millions of views, he received five to seven thousand rubles a month from the service, while the videos on Youutube brought him $ 7-8 thousand. He did not succeed in connecting monetization in Zen at all, says Vasiliev. He believes that the leadership of the platforms is not engaged in their development. “They are mutating Gazprom’s grandmothers, dealing with an intra -party wrestling and do not want to create anything, distributing millions of bloggers that no one knows for rollbacks,” wrote Stas, how simple.

“VK, Rutube, Zen is shit, not a platform,” Vasiliev concluded. The blogger believes that he "remains another six months - a maximum of a year." During this time, he plans to accumulate a financial “pillow” in order to further engage in creativity.

In December last year, Vasiliev said that YouTube blocked its main channel "Ay, how simple!" And that it will be deleted, since the resource has rejected all appeals. The blocking was preceded by three warnings for videos about Ukraine, including for the documentary film "Donbass Diary". Judging by the screenshot published by a blogger, these videos violated the YouTube rule about the inadmissibility of discriminatory statements. Later, the second channel of Vasiliev was removed .

The Donbass Diary, for which the blogger went to the occupied territories of Donbass, was published in 2022. The film said, in particular, that "the Armed Forces of Ukraine purposefully beat in playgrounds."

Earlier in January, Gazprom-Media CEO, Alexander Zharov, who oversees the development of RUTUBE and earned about 300 million rubles on this only in 2020, said in an interview that the Russian platform would not be able to replace YouTube. “Rutube is not a replacement of YouTube. YouTube is a worldwide video search engine, ”said Zharov, noting that even if the platform is blocked in Russia, the Russians will continue to use it through the VPN.
