A case has been initiated against a “citizen of the USSR”

A 69-year-old resident of the village of Pavlovka sent letters to government agencies urging them to stop their activities.

In March 2023, a criminal case was opened in Bashkiria under Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organization).

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a 69-year-old resident of the Nurimanov district sent letters by mail to state institutions urging them to stop their activities. He also participated in promoting the ideas of the banned organization “Citizens of the USSR” via the Internet, he posted various videos on his own behalf about the activities of his organization and “called for violating the laws of the Russian Federation.”

With respect to the suspect, a measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave was chosen. Sources
