One of the world's largest grain suppliers will stop exports from Russia

The Russian branch of the American Cargill Corporation will stop grain export from Russia in the next agricultural year. This was written by RBC with reference to the document, which the company sent the deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Oksana Lut.

The next agricultural year will begin on July 1, 2023 and will last until June 30, 2024. The document states that Cargill will stop grain export from Russia “in accordance with the previously held discussion of grain export issues and the recommendations of the Ministry of Agriculture”. At the same time, all shipments planned for this season will be completed. Also, the Russian branch of Cargill begins to revise the assets portfolio associated with the export of grain belonging to it.

Cargill ranks sixth in the top of the exporters of Russian grain. RBC, citing a member of the grain market, writes that this season the company will take about 2.2 million tons, or about 4% of all volumes of export of Russian grain.
