The court in Orenburg justified the police who beat the detainee

The Central District Court of Orenburg acquitted three police officers who were accused of beating the detainee, reports Opengrad. The publication notes that the defendants came to the meeting at the wheel of their cars, from which we can conclude that they did not doubt the acquittal.

Eldar Sharafutdinov’s lawyer, representing the interests of the victim Gennady Shvetsov, promised to appeal the court decision. “We have practically no acquittal sentences, but with such a difficult composition, with the evidence that there were, and at the same time to justify - this is rare in my memory,” the lawyer said.

The prosecutor's office requested aset Kulkushev, Evgeny Strelkov and Danila Nikulshina for the police for 6.5 years in prison.

According to the investigation, in October 2021, the police detained the 18-year-old Orenburger Shevtsov on suspicion of theft of the phone. According to the detainee, Kulkushev, Strelkov and Nikulshin beat him and threatened him with rape, demanding to admit a crime.

A month later, Shevtsov was sent in jail on charges of robbery: allegedly, along with his acquaintance, he took the phone from a resident of Orenburg, threatening weapons.
