The Time program spoke about the family who escaped from Sweden, because they prohibit the Russian language there. But in Sweden no one prohibits it

In the program “Time”, the plot was released under the heading “A family who fled from Sweden to Russia due to the threat of losing children, sheltered in Krasnodar.” Predicting it, the host of Ekaterina Andreeva, reports :

“You can’t speak to your own brothers in Russian. In Sweden, the authorities directly fit into family affairs. If suddenly a household conflict with neighbors arises, the transfer of the case into a political plane is not excluded. Apparently, in Sweden it is believed that Russian -speakers can take away children through the court and give them to someone. The family of immigrants from Latvia decided - there is no lawlessness to such lawlessness. And escaped from the eurozone. Now they are in Krasnodar, the people who decided to shelter them. ”

The heroes of the plot are called Rolands Gailitis and Inita Leisavtsya (though, the editors of the Channel Channel failed with this difficult Latvian surname and wrote “Lettsavniyce”). The correspondent Sergei Ponomarev tells about them (the author's stylistics is preserved):

“The Swedish social services wanted to take away children from Latvia’s family. They quarreled with their neighbors, they accused Mom Inita of alcoholism. But the turnover took much more serious when last spring the teachers and educators in kindergarten noticed that the boys among themselves speak Russian. ”

Inita continues the story:

“The teachers said that this is an illegal language in general. That is, it cannot even be used. ”

The whole story looks extremely strange. Rolands and Inita-judging by the names, ethnic Latvians-speak Russian with a noticeable accent. The children in the frame are generally silent; When a correspondent addresses one of them, he only nods his head, and his father answers instead.

This is not the first plot of Russian propagandists about this family; Back in January, when they only arrived in Russia, the plot of them under the heading “Family from Sweden ran away from Russophobia in Primorye” (in fact, instead of Primorye, they stuck in Karelia for two months, after which someone decided to shelter them in the Krasnodar Territory) went out in “Vesti”. And there, too, the children do not say a word in Russian, although, it would seem, the Russian speech of the child, because of which the family had to flee for thousands of kilometers, could become an adornment of the plot. But Rolands Gailitis says a completely strange thing there:

"The youngest does not go to the kindergarten, but he said that he was Russian, and from that moment it began."

That is, according to him, after a small child called himself Russian (although he is actually Latvians), the family began problems with social services. According to Gaility, representatives of the social services told him that they would take the children and he would never see them again.

How plausible are their stories about the “illegal language” that cannot be used? There are doubts. In Swedish schools, Russian language is studied, and not only as a foreign one. The country published Russian textbooks for those students who have a native language. In 2022, the National Education Agency released a video for parents of preschool children, explaining how the Swedish kindergarten system works; He has several options in different languages ​​- Swedish, three versions of the gypsy, Farsi, French, Ukrainian, Somali, Russian , English, Dari and Arabic.

It is hardly possible to find out what really happened to the Rolands Gailitis family in the Swedish town of Hedesund: in Sweden they care about maintaining privacy and do not report affairs to withdraw children from families, especially before they are completed. But the story of the Russian language as the reason for the persecution of the family, told by Gailitis and Leisavtsy, looks rather ridiculous.
