A resident of Karelia was fined under Art. 20.3.2 Code of Administrative Offenses

The Olonets court imposed a fine on Natalia Lebedeva under Art. 20.3.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

On April 3, 2023, the Olonetsky District Court of the Republic of Karelia fined 35 thousand rubles under Part 2 of Art. 20.3.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public calls for separatism on the Internet) to Natalia Lebedev.

It follows from the court ruling that a certain text was published on Lebedeva's page on the VKontakte social network, beginning with the word "It has arrived." It was seen by 187 users, one liked it. one user, viewed by 187 users. First, Lebedeva told the FSB officers who discovered the offense that her page had been hacked. However, it was found that in order to publish the entry, the account was logged in from its IP address. Then Lebedeva stated that the entry “wrote without glasses and did not clearly make out what she had written,” and later “realized the illegality” of the post and deleted it. In court, however, she explained her position by "historical events."

Unfortunately, we do not know what kind of text the Olonets resident published, and we cannot assess her actions. However, we must recall that, from our point of view, sanctions are appropriate only if calls for violent separatism are published, while peaceful discussions about the territorial status of certain regions should not be limited.
