The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander of the USS resigned, writes RBC with reference to sources close to the presidential administration. According to most of them, his post can be occupied by the Deputy Minister of Finance Mikhail Kotyukov.

The SAS itself is expected to become a senator from the legislative assembly of the region.

Some time after the publication of RBC, the press service of the Krasnoyarsk governor in the commentary of RIA Novosti named the media reports about the possible resignation of the USS “rumors”.

In early April, the USS recorded a video message in which he thanked everyone who was worried about his son Artem, arrested in Italy at the request of the United States and then fled from house arrest. He expressed special gratitude to Vladimir Putin, saying that he was not "just the leader of our state, he is a person with a big and open heart."

Artem the USS was detained in Italy in October, in March the court in Milan approved his extradition in the United States. Two days later, the Russian escaped from house arrest. After that, the Ministry of Justice of Italy initiated a disciplinary proceedings against three judges for the fact that in November 2022 they appointed USS house arrest and wearing an electronic bracelet, and local media wrote about the "failure" of Italian special services.

Italian investigators have already identified the identities of several people who helped USU to escape. In total, according to local media, USU was helped by a group of “less than ten people”. According to the prosecutor's office of Milan, in a few hours the SAS drove beyond the limits of Italy, replacing several cars. According to investigators, the governor’s son went to Slovenia, then to Serbia, from where he flew to Russia.
