In Russia, there was a shortage of builders and engineers, as well as workers for the construction of roads. The lack of workers intensified after the declaration of “partial” mobilization in the country, the demand for such specialists increased almost three times. This was reported by Kommersant with reference to the Avito Work service and experts surveyed.

At the beginning of the Kommersant material, the emphasis is on the fact that the demand for the listed specialists has grown due to the “fast pace of development of budget funds for the construction of road infrastructure”. However, information on the influence of “partial” mobilization on the shortage of builders is placed in the last paragraph. Another interlocutor of the publication, the general director of the Smart Engineering Group of Companies, Hussein Pliev, predicts that the personnel deficit in the next few years will only intensify.

Finding specialists for the construction of road infrastructure for companies does not even help the growth of salaries in the industry, Kommersant notes. According to Avito Work, in April of this year, the demand of companies for builders grew 2.8 times a year by the year. Road workers and engineers are required 2.2 times more often, drivers of bulldozers - 2.4 times, and demand for tractors' drivers increased by 86%. The coordinator of Business Russia in the North-West Federal District Dmitry Panov told the publication that the reason is also the launch of “large projects for the construction of road infrastructure”.

The largest increase in the number of vacancies of engineers (more than 4 times) was seen in Kazan and Ufa, which is explained by the construction of the Kazan-Yekaterinburg highway and the M-12 M-12 Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod-Kazan highway. Now demand is growing not only for experienced engineers, designers, operating specialists and other builders of road infrastructure, but also on road workers without experience, said Dmitry Puchkov, Director of the Development of Avito Work.

At the same time, the general director of the Propersonal personnel agency Tatyana Dolyakova claims that the shortage of qualified workers in the construction industry has been observed for several years. Earlier, the situation was associated with a low level of salaries, this forced specialists to go into mining or other industries.
