"Buy FSBshniks and Tourists." In Russia, they began to sell Starlink terminals that do not work on its territory

One of the Russian networks about the sale of household appliances began to offer terminals for the satellite Internet Starlink, which does not work in Russia. The correspondent of The Insider, who called the store under the guise of a buyer, reported that this equipment was bought, including employees of the Russian intelligence services.

Representatives of the store who responded to calls confirmed that the terminal purchased from them could neither register nor use in Russia, and they advised to go to register equipment to Europe or China. The purchase warranty is also not provided.

When asked why to sell these terminals in Russia at all, one of the interlocutors replied: “Someone buys. FSBSHNI, people who go to other countries. ” The second representative of the store advised to use the Starlink terminal, for example, on a yacht outside of Russia. He also admitted that the terminals are bought by "special services and tourists, half half a half." To the question: "Tourists to Ukraine?" - The interlocutor replied: "And these guys too."

On the website of the retail network, the terminals of two models are offered: Starlink V1 and Starlink V2 at a price of 659 thousand rubles ($ 8600) per piece. In the USA, such equipment costs up to $ 2500.

Starlink is a global satellite Internet system launched by SpaceX Ilona Mask. After the start of a full -scale war in Ukraine, Musk began to supply Starlink terminals there to ensure uninterrupted communication in hostilities.
