New case against PNZS members
Dmitry Strelkov and Anton Zyryanov are accused of treason.
On May 20, 2023, in Perm, the FSB department opened a case under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code (treason) against two residents of the Perm Territory, 24-year-old Dmitry Strelkov and 27-year-old Anton Zyryanov.
Recall that in August 2019, the Leninsky District Court of Perm sentenced members of the far-right PNZS group (deciphered in official documents as the “Perm Nazi team” (probably Perm nazi squad)) to Dmitry Strelkov, Anton Zyryanov, Alexander Ankudinov and Nikita Yushkov. According to investigators, PNZS members committed several acts of ideological vandalism and set fire to the building where the public reception room of United Russia was located. The court sentenced Strelkov to 7 years in a general regime colony, and Zyryanov to 5 years in a strict regime colony.
Strelkov and several other defendants were in a pre-trial detention center for 4 months, then their preventive measure was changed to house arrest, and later the court released them on a written undertaking to leave. Before the verdict, Strelkov and Zyryanov did not come to court and fled to Ukraine.
Strelkov, according to the FSB, was recruited by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the investigation, in 2022, Strelkov and Zyryanov went to fight on the side of Ukraine.
In December 2022, the press service of the FSB reported that agents of the SBU who were going to carry out terrorist attacks in Perm had been identified in the Kama region. Dmitry Strelkov was called the leader of the group.
Strelkov and Zyryanov are wanted.
