Elvira Paeva received a two-year suspended sentence for posting on VKontakte.
On May 22, 2023, the Moskovsky District Court of Cheboksary sentenced under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of national hatred) "citizen of the USSR" Elvira Paeva to 2 years of suspended liberty.
Recall that the case was initiated in June 2022 due to an anti-Semitic post by the user “Eto Ya” dedicated to the coronavirus. A “citizen of the USSR” was assigned a written undertaking not to leave, later she was taken into custody in SIZO-2 due to the fact that she violated a preventive measure - she published a video on her channel, and also went to live in a monastery.
