
The Kuibyshevsky District Court of Irkutsk sentenced the five prisoners who tortured convicted Kezhik Ondar with a boiler. This was reported by the publication "People of Baikal" with reference to the lawyer Dmitry Dmitriev.
“Developers” (the so -called prisoners' colony are called) found guilty of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm and violent actions of a sexual nature. Nikolai Kurbatov and Ilya Gagarin received 11 years in colony. Alexey Slavgorodsky, Sergey Nepomnya and Anton Olennikov - 10 years each. In addition, each of them will have to pay the compensation of the compensation of 500 thousand rubles.
“At first they burned out the employees of the pre -trial detention center, they said that they decided to torture Ondar themselves. Then Gagarin said that he was forced to do this. Kurbatov confirmed this for him. Nepomnya generally stated that he himself was a victim of violence. None of the “developers” admitted his guilt to the end, ”said Dmitriev.
A resident of Tovy Kezhik Ondar, convicted in 2019 for the theft of a horse, was serving a sentence in the Angarsk IK-15. After the rebellion that occurred there in April 2020, he was transferred to the pre-trial detention center-1. There, from Kezhik, they demanded that he slander himself in involvement in the arson of the colony and the murder of a person. Kezhik refused, and then they began to torture him. He was connected, suspended, doused with water, and beaten with electric shock. In addition, they put a boiler in the anus, turned it on and he exploded in it.
In September 2022, Onsdar was released. As the lawyer says, he returned to Tyv and works as a watchman at the Chaban parking lot.
In January last year, the Investigative Committee instituted 17 criminal cases on the facts of torture and sexual abuse that the prisoners of the SIZO-1 in Irkutsk were subjected to. The flow of complaints about torture and rape in Irkutsk colonies and pre-trial detention centers began to arrive after the “riot” in the Angarsk IK-15 in the spring of 2020. Then about a hundred prisoners were taken out of IK-15 to IK-15 to the Irkutsk SIZO-1 and Angarsk SIZO-6, where some of them were brutally tortured and raped, demanding to take the blame for the R and Tun organization or give other readings necessary for the security forces.
In total, about 30 people were recognized in total in the united case of torture in jail and colonies of the Irkutsk region. Human rights activists insisted that in fact there are much more victims, and many FSIN employees involved in mockery did not suffer punishment and still work in the prison system.
This is the first criminal case in history about massive torture of a sexualized nature in the institutions of the FSIN, and it still has not reached trial. Human rights activists said that during the investigation, many victims were scared and began to abandon their words, since they were pressure.
On December 8, 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the title of Major General Leonid Sagalakov, under whose leadership the “torture conveyor” earned in full force in the region.
