Denis Sirenko on September 21 took part in a protest promotion on the day of the announcement of partial mobilization. Near the Gostiny Dvor he was detained by law enforcement officers. According to the artist, they beat him with a stamp and batons. Then he was taken to the police department, where he slept on the floor. Doctors diagnosed him with a double fracture of his left hand and numerous bruises.

In January, investigator Emelianenko refused to institute criminal proceedings on his complaint, not notifying human rights activists about it. The refusal of the lawyers of the “team against torture” became known only from the response of the prosecutor's office to numerous complaints.

Lawyers applied to the Main Investigative Department with the requirement to bring investigator Emelianenko to disciplinary liability for non -compliance with professional and official ethics.
