The Internet will be disconnected to Putin's arrival
At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (PMEF), due to the arrival of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Internet will be disconnected. This was told by the Faridaily Telegram channel, which is conducted by journalists Farid Rustamov and Maxim Tovkailo, an employee of one of the telecom operators and a forum participant who recognized the information from the organizers. The Internet turned off was confirmed in the press service of Roscongress, explaining this by “technical work”.
On Friday, June 16, Putin should perform on the forum. Channel sources argue that the decision was made, including so that the "forum site is not attacked by drones." Communications operators received an order from the Ministry of Construction, as a result, the Internet will not be throughout the territory of the Expoforum congress and exhibition center.
Separately, journalists note that last week from June 7 to 9, they limited access to the Internet in Sochi and Adler due to Putin's arrival in the Eurasian Congress. Then the Congress participant said that due to the disconnection of LTE, taxi, bank cards did not work, and also almost did not pass mobile phone calls.
The forum participants at best will have to be content with Wi-Fi from the organizers, but it may not cope with the load, since there are more than a thousand people on the forum.
Earlier, the Kremlin press service said that Putin, in the framework of the PMEF, will negotiate with the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Muhammad Ben Zaid Al Nahayan. This year, the UAE are presented as one of the guests.
