The “Rotenberg Archive” is a leak of more than 50,000 files, including almost 30,000 emails and about 12,000 documents that shed light on how famous Russian oligarchs brothers Arkady and Boris Rotenbergs hid their companies, real estate, yachts and planes behind the backs of frontmen, which helped them bypass Western sanctions. A source, who asked for anonymity for security reasons, conveyed this archive to “important stories”.

We shared documents with journalists from 17 world media, including OCCRP, Le Monde, Forbes, The Times and others. Together we worked on a leak for several months to simultaneously publish our investigations.
