On the fact of the death of Anatoly Berezikov, a criminal case has been instituted under the article “Bringing to suicide”

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the death of the musician and activist Anatoly Berezikov in the Rostov specialist. According to the "First Department", the case was opened under Part 1 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code - bringing a person to suicide through threats, cruelty or systematic humiliation of the human dignity of the victim.

From the decree, which is at the disposal of the “first department”, it follows that Berezikov died of “mechanical aspix” - hanged himself in his cell at 9:57 am on June 14. In this cell, he was kept under administrative arrest for “petty hooliganism”. The bodies transferred to relatives conflicting information about Berezikov’s cellmates: it was originally reported that he had neighbors in the cell, but now the investigation states that he was in the cell alone.

Bereznikov stuck in Rostov-on-Don the leaflets of the Ukrainian project “I want to live”, which contained a call for the Russian military to surrender. He was charged with petty hooliganism and disobedience to the police officer. Berezikov repeatedly told his lawyer that he was not going to end with himself and was afraid for his life due to constant torture and threats. He was taken to the forest and tortured by a stamper, threatening a lifelong time. On June 15, he was supposed to leave the special receiver.
