From June 3, the Russian Raiffeisenbank will stop transfers in the euro both in the Russian Federation and to banks of 12 countries. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the bank.
The translation will not reach if it is sent to one of the listed countries: Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the United Arab Emirates, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
It is noted that these conditions concern both individuals and individual entrepreneurs, as well as legal entities. The bank explains its decision with restrictions introduced by corresponding banks. At the same time, Russian clients of Raiffeisenbank will be able to make transfers in the euro both between their accounts and between each other's accounts.
Politician, economist Vladimir Milov, believes that the introduction of such restrictions is not related to the policy of the European Union to counteract the detour of anti -Russian sanctions:
It seems to me that this is more of another step towards the folding of activities in Russia. Yes, in the end, Raiffeisen will go away, there is a lot of pressure on it. This will affect the parallel import and bypassing of sanctions, as there are other channels of work - smaller banks, not disconnected from SWIFT.
Since June 20, a commission for transfers in dollars to individuals of individuals is charged in the Russian Raiffeisen. It is 50% of the total, but should not exceed $ 500. Also in April, a physicist, not connected to premium packages, lost the opportunity to make SWIFT transfers in dollars. A minimum transfer threshold of 20 thousand dollars or euros was also established.
