Alexander Lukashenko said that during the rebellion of the PMC Wagner, he contacted the director of the FSB Alexander Bortnikov and “urged” not to attack the column of Wagnerians.
During the negotiations, according to Lukashenko, Evgeny Prigozhin refused to give him Minister of Defense of Russia Sergey Shoigu and the head of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov. After that, Lukashenko promised Wagner's security fighters.
“At the fifth o’clock in the evening, he called me and said:“ Alexander Grigoryevich, I accept all your conditions. But what should I do? We stop - they will begin to wet us. ” I say: "They will not start. I guarantee you. I take it to myself."
According to Lukashenko, the main condition that he set Prigozhin during negotiations on the termination of the rebellion was the absence of the dead.
“I warn him:“ Eugene, no bloodshed. As soon as you deliberately or inadvertently kill at least one person, especially the civilian one, everything, there will be no negotiations with you, and I will not talk to you. ” He swore to me. “We,” he says, “there is no such goal, and I swear to you that this will not happen.”
Lukashenko did not mention that during the rebellion the militants of the Wagner PMC shot down at least two helicopters and one aircraft of the Russian Air Force. At the same time, from 4 to 20 people died, according to various sources. Prigozhin at the end of the rebellion said that Wagner's PMC was allegedly going to disarm on June 30, but a blow was struck by the mercenaries, which died about 30 people.
