Three of the four authors of the bill, according to which it is proposed to deprive Russian citizenship by birth for desertion, “discrediting” the army and calls for extremism, removed their names from the document. Judging by the card of the bill on the State Duma website, now its author is one person - Sergey Tsekov, representing the Annesized Crimea.
Initially, the document was also signed by Ekaterina Altabaeva (Sevastopol), Olga Bas (“Lugansk People's Republic”) and Sergey Kolbin (Sevastopol).
The bill was submitted to the State Duma on July 21. Then he was criticized by the chairman of the Council of Council of Constitutional Legislation, Andrei Klishas, who stated that this initiative contradicts the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Several lawyers, in an interview with The Insider, called the deprivation of citizenship by birthing for the violation of basic civil rights.
