The book of the biologist and historian of science Alexandra Goryashko “Wild bird and cultural person. Gaga Gaga is reasonable: Fourteen centuries of relationships ”-the world's first popular science publication dedicated to the worldwide history of human relations with Gaga Gaga: from GAG in excavations of ancient human settlements to the GAG in works of art, from myths and legends to the latest scientific data, from GAG in hunting trophies to GAG in museum collections.

Particular attention is paid to the history of the attitude to Gaga in Russia, including the work on the creation of Gagach farms in the USSR and a unique scientific research, almost an unknown world community. The book also talks about people related to the protection and study of Gaga: from St. Kutbert, who lived in the 7th century, to the now residents of now. For the first time, data on the dramatic fate of Soviet scientists - researchers of Gaga and methods of creating Gagach farms were published.
In the preparation of the publication, more than 500 literary and archival sources, more than 700 archival and modern photographs were used, and consultations were consulted about 200 specialists from 15 countries. Most of the documents and photographs are published for the first time.
