The letter was published by the Channel "Free People of Voronezh." Osipenko attracted the attention of the security forces in January 2021, when he went to the rally in support of Alexei Navalny. He was fined twice for 10 thousand rubles in two different ships - for one speech in a megaphone. After the start of the war in Ukraine on March 9, 2022, Osipenko tried to fly away from Russia, but he was detained.
“They began to torture me with the help of strangling with a bag, beaten hands, legs, and kidneys in order to give false testimony. Allegedly, the purpose of my trip was to enter the unit of the “International Legion of Ukraine”. The fact that citizens of the Russian Federation are not taken there did not stop the execution, ”Osipenko writes.
