Neo-Nazi detained in St. Petersburg

On September 22, 2023, some media reported that a supporter of the Russian Freedom Legion, recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia, was detained in St. Petersburg.

He is being tested for involvement in sabotage in the Leningrad region.

In Telegram channels, the message was accompanied by a video from operational footage of arrests in case a kidnapping in St. Petersburg. Kirill Rimkus, who fought for the DPR as part of Rusich, is accused in the same case.

A day earlier, on September 21, 2023, the Mash Telegram channel reported that in St. Petersburg, neo-Nazi Yevgeny Barabanov, who is a member of the pro-Ukrainian Freedom of Russia Legion, was detained along with an accomplice in the case of the above-mentioned kidnapping. The news was reposted by several far-right telegram channels. This news repeats that police officers found a pistol, a supply of ammunition, a portrait of Hitler, books about serial killers, Ukrainian documents and LSR symbols from Barabanov. However, the MVD Media report does not report LSR symbols.

From the news, which repeat each other almost word for word, it is unclear whether they are talking about the same arrest or different ones.
