Peskov commented on the death of 52 people under the shelling in the Kharkov region: "Russia does not strike at the civilian population"

Press Secretary of Vladimir Putin, commenting on the death of 52 people in the village of Thunderstorm, said that Russia does not inflict blows to the civilian population:

“We still repeat: the Russian military does not inflict blows to civilian targets. Blows are delivered to military infrastructure facilities, places of accumulation of military personnel and representatives of the military leadership, ”Peskov said.

According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the blow was struck by the Iskander rocket and came across a store and a cafe, where local residents gathered for a wake. In total, 330 people lived in the village. The representative of the regional military administration Elena Shapoval called the blow the most massive in the number of those killed in the region since the beginning of a full -scale Russian invasion. According to the Ukrainian side, among those killed, there was also a child.
