The court arrested assets of 17 billion hryvnias ($ 460 million) of twenty companies and financial and credit institutions of Russian businessmen Mikhail Friedman, Peter Aven and Andrei Kosogov, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reports in his press release.
Among the blocked assets are financial and insurance companies, mobile communications and IT enterprises, as well as mineral water plants. The special service clarifies that the arrest of property will not allow the Russian owners to “rewrite” it to the standers and thereby avoid further transfer of assets to the income of Ukraine.
In early September 2023, as the Insider wrote , the SBU announced to Friedman about suspicions of financing Russian aggression in Ukraine. The SBU claimed that the oligarch uses the assets of the Alfa-Group controlled by the Russian financial and investment consortium. Also, according to special services, Friedman involved his own business resources for mass distribution to the advanced dryers, clothes and other products under the trade sign of the “Army of Russia”.
