In 2022, the girl returned to the occupied Mariupol, from where she had previously evacuated with her mother to see her grandmother and find her cats. However, on the day of the “referendum” on the accession of the occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia was detained. She was charged under the articles “Preparation for a crime and attempted crime” (Article 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and “Terrorist Act” (Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Russian side claims that Navalny planned to commit a terrorist attack at the Building of the Primorsky District of Mariupol in order to disrupt the referendum. “For a long time in the camera of girls from Azov, designed for ten, they held 21 people. They had to sleep in two on the same bunks. Now they were at least divorced in two cameras, so each has its own bunks. They have no walks - all the time in four walls, without fresh air and normal physical activity. They get sick-some rash on the body either appears or disappears. The girls who were exchanged underwent examination. Our doctors, unfortunately, still cannot diagnose what kind of rash it is.
What else? Girls concluded in the Donetsk pre -trial detention center have problems with hygiene products - there are simply no them (these funds). When they were allowed to transmit parcels (grandmother drove them to Donetsk), we provided Ira with everything necessary. But for six months, the parcel has been prohibited. One single time Ira allowed a date with her grandmother. The daughter said then that she has to tear off pieces of fabric from mattresses to use them for hygienic needs. Water is given to slaves every three days - poured into bottles. The girls drink part of this water, part is used for washing. They sleep with these bottles - so that water water is at least room temperature. ”
According to the human rights activists and the mother of the girl, the choice of the security forces of the “DPR” fell on her because of the surname. They paid attention to her even at the time of passing the “filtering” when leaving Mariupol. According to the mother, in the tent, where the “filtering” was held, Irina was set face to the wall, one of the Russian military put a gun to her head and began to scream to his colleagues: “Who wants to look at Navalny's daughter?!” She was forced to face the wall for two hours, her mother said.
