A “citizen of the USSR” from Kemerovo was convicted of anti-Semitic calls.
On October 12, 2023, in Kemerovo, a 49-year-old local resident was sentenced under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities).
Most likely, we are talking about Nikolai Nekrasov, whose case was brought to court in January 2023.
It is reported that in the period 2021-2022 he posted at least seven comments “calling for reprisals against persons of the Jewish faith.” In his defense, he stated that “the law enforcement and judicial authorities of the Russian Federation do not have the right to hold him accountable in any way, since he is a “living person of the USSR” and should not obey the colonial authorities.”
The Zavodsky District Court of Kemerovo found the “citizen of the USSR” guilty and sentenced him to a suspended sentence of 2 years imprisonment with a probationary period of 3 years.
