The co -owner of Alfa -Group, billionaire Alexei Kuzmichev, is arrested in FRANCE, he is under EU sanctions

The Russian oligarch Alexei Kuzmichev was taken into custody by a French court, he was arrested in the case of money laundering. According to Le Monde, a search was carried out on his villa in the Saint-Trope, on the morning of October 30, law enforcement agencies arrested. Also, the search was held in his Parizh mansion in the 7th district between the building of the National Assembly and the Orsa Museum.

Kuzmichev, one of the shareholders of the Alfa Group consortium, is considered by the European authorities as “one of the most influential people in Russia”, which has “well-established ties with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin”. European sanctions theoretically prohibit the presence of individuals in Europe, notes the publication, but a source close to the oligarch, said Le Monde that he was already in France when he was included in the sanctions list, and that he also has family ties in this country.

In March 2022, two of his yachts were also arrested.
