In Moscow, an entrepreneur was arrested. He traded databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which could be used in the attempt on Vladlen Tatar

The Basmann District Court of Moscow arrested for two months a private entrepreneur Yevgeny Shitikov, who was accused of selling personal data of citizens received from closed police bases. According to the Kommersant newspaper, the investigation checks the version that this information could be used in preparing the attempt on the military commander and blogger Vladlen Tatarsky, blown up in the spring of 2023.

When applying to the court, the investigation emphasized that Shitikov committed a crime “in the context of his own and the growth of other international threats of Russia,” therefore it entailed grave consequences. Due to the illegal activity of the accused, according to investigators, access to the personal data of Russian citizens received an “indefinite circle of persons”, a real threat of transferring these information to the enemy and using them to prepare serious crimes against Russians appeared.

Evgeny Shitikov and his lawyer Dmitry Zalutsky, in turn, told the court that the seller of the software became a defendant in the criminal case on April 3 and, having given the investigator a corresponding sign of a loss of departure and proper behavior, had never tried to hide in eight months. The accused asked not to poison him in a pre -trial detention center, but Judge Evgeny Kozlov nevertheless approved his arrest.

In turn, the State Russian Agency of TASS previously wrote that Shitikov was detained due to a criminal case against the former operatives of the OMVD of Russia in the Tagansky district and engineer of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on exceeding the officials of self-permanent interest (paragraphs “G”, “E”, Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Sergei Koshelev, Alexander Ponomarenko, Alexander Zakharov and Kirill Maksimov were detained in early April 2023 and arrested.
