Earlier, the Agency reported that among the security forces who fell on the video suppression of protests in the Bashkir city of Baymak, was the head of the thunder detachment of the Rosguard for Bashkortostan Ramil Gareev. On January 17, rallies were held in Baimak (Bashkortostan) after the sentence to the Bashkir activist Fail Alsynov - the clashes of the protesters with the security forces began at the local court building. As a result, law enforcement officers had to start negotiations with activists and offer the liberation of the detainees. After a few hours of protests by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bashkortostan, a criminal case of riots at the court in Baymak opened a criminal case.

The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case against Fail Alsynov in August 2023 at the request of the head of the republic Radiy Khabirov. The reason was the statement at the gathering of citizens in the village of Ishmurzino on April 28, 2023.

According to the investigation, in the speech of Alsynov in the Bashkir language, allegedly “statements were kept in which groups of people are negatively evaluated:“ residents of the Caucasus ”,“ Central Asia ”,“ Armenians ”, as well as humiliation of their human dignity”. For example, the activist, talking about the consequences of gold mining in the region, said that “the Armenians would leave for their homeland,“ Kara Halyk ” - to themselves, the Russians - to their Ryazan, the Tatars in their Tatarstan”, and the Bashkirs will remain on their land because they have no other house. The expression “Kara Halyk” literally means “black people” and in modern Turkic languages is used to designate ordinary people.
