
The Ministry of Economics of the Chinese Republic (Taiwan) imposed sanctions against the Russian company I Machine, which appeared in the investigation of The Insider and The Reporter about the supply of Taiwanese machines for the Russian military-industrial complex. As stated in the statement on the website of the ministry, from now on Taiwan enterprises are prohibited to supply I Machine their products.
The statement emphasizes that measures are taken in order to control the production of weapons and protect the reputation of Taiwanese companies, which is crucial for “future global sales”. To date, about 1900 organizations related to Russia are included in the sanction list of Taiwan.
The Taiwan government ordered the manufacturers to break off relations with Russian buyers and to comply with the ban on the supply of high -tech goods to Russia. Suppliers are required to denote the final buyer in export through countries with high risks of re -export to Russia or Belarus - Turkey, the UAE, the Central Asian state and others. The Ministry of Economy increased fines for illegal export in the Russian Federation 15 times, now they are 1 million yuan ($ 32 thousand).
As stated in the investigation of The Insider, published at the end of January, Taiwan, who at the official level supports Ukraine,, however, became the most important supplier of metalworking machines to Russia, taking the place of European manufacturers who left the Russian market. Despite the prohibitions introduced by the Taiwanese authorities, the products were exported through third countries.
Among all the Russian importers who received Taiwanese machines from third countries, the largest import of imports was at the company of Ai Machin Technologies LLC, which is engaged in machines and details for them.
