The examination recognized the developer of supercomputers Sergey Abramov

The Yaroslavl Psychiatric Hospital recognized the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences from Pereslavl-Zalessky Sergey Abramov, writes Kommersant-Yaroslavl. The scientist is accused of financing, presumably, the Fund for the fight against corruption (FBK) Alexei Navalny.

Sergey Abramov is a developer of supercomputers, as an executive director from Russia and the supervisor from Russia, he headed the Skif and Skif-Grid supercomputations of the Union State to create and master the Skif supercomputers in the production of a series of supercomputers.

Abramov came into the view of the security forces last spring. The circumstances of the case do not disclose. It is only known that he was charged under an article on financing extremist activities (part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The punishment under this article provides for up to eight years in prison. As the newspaper "Kommersant" previously wrote with reference to sources, the scientist is persecuted for the translation of the FBK donations.

On April 12, the Pereslavl District Court concluded Abramov under house arrest. The scientist does not agree with the charge. Subsequently, he was extended several times to the preventive measure, but on November 2 the regional court did not do this. As T-Invariant wrote, over the time since the arrest, the investigation was not able to prove the corpus delicti, namely the fact of transferring to scientists to a donation to an unnamed “extremist organization”.

In November last year, the Leninsky District Court sent Abramov to a forced psychiatric examination at the request of the investigation. The examination took place in December in the Yaroslavl Regional Psychiatric Hospital and lasted 12 days.

“Before the examination, the investigator posed a number of questions: whether I am sane now, was it sane in the previous time, whether I need forced treatment. The answer was that I was sane, and treatment is not required. In addition, my psychological portrait was compiled, in which there are such characteristics: friendly, with empathy, conformist, avoids conflicts, ”Abramov told the publication.

According to him, he was in the department, which is engaged in a forensic psychiatric examination. The department was isolated, the FSIN officers periodically brought and took people away from there, added Abramov. “Outside the window, barbed wire. There were no walks, the phone was kept by the staff, but I was allowed to call on the command. The staff of the hospital shocked, surprisingly kind and merciful people, ”the scientist said.
