On February 17, 2024, in St. Petersburg, law enforcement agencies detained priest Grigory Mikhnov-Vaitenko, who announced that he was going to serve a memorial service for Alexei Navalny.
Mikhnov-Vaitenko is a priest of the Apostolic Orthodox Church. He was detained as he left the house and taken to the police station.
Shortly after his arrest, the priest was taken to the hospital with a stroke.
