In the Rostov region, a case regarding membership in a banned organization of “USSR citizens” was brought to court.
In February 2024, the Volgodonsk District Court of the Rostov Region received a criminal case regarding participation in the activities of an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code).
Andrei Alexandrov will soon be in the dock, accused of participating in the recognized extremist movement of “citizens of the USSR” (banned under the name “Union of Slavic Forces of Rus'”).
A preventive measure was chosen for him in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
Let us recall that “USSR” was created by dentist Sergei Taraskin in 2010. The ideology of the movement is based on the belief that the Soviet Union never collapsed, therefore the current government in Russia should be recognized as illegitimate (for more information about the “Union of Slavic Forces of Russia” see here ). In July 2019, the Supreme Court of the Komi Republic recognized the Union of Slavic Forces of Rus' (USSR) as an extremist organization.
