Balakovo: a verdict was passed under Art. 280

In Balakovo in the Saratov region, the court sentenced P. Yarosh to 1.5 years of forced labor, finding him guilty of publishing comments on social networks calling for racist violence.

On March 13, 2024, the Balakovo District Court of the Saratov Region issued a verdict in the case of public calls for extremism (Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code).

In the dock was P. Yarosh, who, according to law enforcement agencies, from June 6, 2021 to January 5, 2023, published comments on the VKontakte social network calling for violence against non-Russians.

At the trial, he fully admitted his guilt.

The court sentenced him to 1.5 years of forced labor with the withholding of 10% of earnings to the state and banned him for 2 years from administering Internet sites and creating pages on social networks.
