Actor Alexander Shirvindt died

People's Artist of Russia Alexander Shirvindt died in the hospital, the press service of the Satire Theater reports. He was 89 years old.

The son of the Satire Theater Sergey Gazarov, the son of Alexander Shirvindt Mikhail, was informed about the death of the actor.

Alexander Shirvindt is known for roles in the films “Three in the boat, not counting the dog”, “Princess of the circus”, “Station for two”.

Shirvindt was born on July 19, 1934 in Moscow. He graduated from the Schukin Theater School, in 1956 he was admitted to the troupe of the theater. Lenin Komsomol (now Lenkom Zakharov). In 1968, the artist moved to the Moscow Drama Theater on Malaya Bronnaya. In the troupe of the Satire Theater, he was consisting of 1970. He taught at the Theater Institute. B.V. Schukina. In 2000–2021 he was the artistic director of the Satire Theater, in 2021 he became president of the theater.
