In Magadan, a case was initiated under Art. 280 Criminal Code
A resident of Magadan is accused of publishing calls for xenophobic violence on the Internet.
On March 25, 2024, the Russian FSB Directorate for the Magadan Region and the service of the Magadan Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia for the Eastern Arctic region reported that a criminal case had been opened under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities).
According to the FSB, a resident of the region posted on the Internet “public calls to carry out extremist activities in the form of violent actions against a group of people identified on a national basis - who are not persons of Russian nationality.”
