FSB announced the prevention of a terrorist attack in the Moscow synagogue

The FSB reported that she prevented the attack in the Moscow synagogue. During the detention, a native of Central Asia, who planned the attack, was killed.

In November 2023, a foreigner freed himself from the colony and came to Russia. Living in Moscow, he was preparing to commit a terrorist attack: “He conducted an intelligence of the area surrounded” by one of the synagogues in the capital, and also “acquired components for the manufacture of a home -made explosive device”.

The FSB also claims that during the arrest, the suspect "showed armed resistance" and was killed by return fire.

“During the operational-search measures at the place of his residence, a home-made explosive device, as well as explosives, was discovered and seized,” the department said.

Earlier, the FSB reported the prevention of a terrorist attack at a military facility in the occupied Donetsk. According to the special services, a terrorist cell, consisting of six citizens of one of the states of Central Asia, participated in the preparation of the attack. The FSB claims that the “coordination of activity” of the group was carried out from the territory of Ukraine, and the participants “after the commission of a crime in the Russian Federation planned to leave to Turkey, from where they intended to cross to Ukraine”.
