The court in Moscow arrested a man by the name of Archakov on charges of Gosizmen

The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow arrested S. A. Archakov in the case of Gosizmen (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), follows from the court of the court. Details of the case are unknown.

Article 275 of the Criminal Code (“State treason”) provides for the maximum punishment up to life imprisonment. The responsibility for it was tightened in the spring of 2023, after the death of the explosion in the St. Petersburg cafe "Warrior" Vladlen Tatarsky. Before that, the maximum punishment under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code amounted to 20 years of conclusion. The court could appoint a longer term if the defendant was accused of several episodes.

In the summer of 2022, the deputies expanded the concept of the Stateismman, equating to it “actions related to the transition to the enemy’s side in an armed conflict or military operations” against Russia.

As the insider wrote earlier, in Russia the number of sentences in the Stateizmen Affairs have grown in Russia: from four cases with one conditional term for the first half of 2022 to 15 for the same period of 2023. Over the same period, the number of sentences in cases of justification of terrorism has increased (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia) - from 126 to 167.
