The Ministry of Internal Affairs proposes to give investigators the right to stop operations in bank accounts “if there are grounds to believe” that they were “used in criminal activity”. It is reported by Interfax.
Operations are proposed to stop for a period of no more than ten days "for the purpose of subsequent imposition of property arrest."
In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed to endow the investigators with authority without the permission of the court to receive information about the calls of subscribers in cases “not tolerant”. Information can be requested within ten days before the decision.
The ministry claims that proposals are aimed at "improving the effectiveness of a preliminary investigation."
