A sentence was passed on a “citizen of the USSR”

Vladimir Sizov was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

On April 27, 2024, the joint press service of the courts of the Rostov region reported that the court had sentenced Vladimir Sizov, a member of the extremist organization “Union of Slavic Forces of Rus'” (USSR) recognized in Russia.

According to the press service, Sizov participated in the activities of the USSR from August 2019 to April 2021. He was charged with Part 2 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of organizations in respect of which the court has made a decision on liquidation or prohibition of activities that has entered into legal force in connection with the implementation of extremist activities). He was sentenced to 3 years 6 months in a general regime colony, with restriction of freedom for a period of 6 months.
