From Kostroma - in Ivanovo on foot: photo report

This is a tradition - the story of the next foot of the North editorial office is followed by a detailed photo report. Traditional values ​​are the basis of the foundations, and we, of course, will not ruin traditions.

So, we left Kostroma, on foot came first to Krasnoye-on-Volga, from there to Volzhsk, from Volzhsk to Furmanov (a little more than 80 kilometers in three days, it would have come out in a straight line in a straight line, but we love the tracks of the bubbles). From there by taxi in Ivanovo, then - train and Moscow.

You can, of course, just see the pictures (some are especially marked, they are beautiful, because Ilya G. participated in the campaign, an excellent photographer; the author of this material was not marked and ugly, for which he asks for forgiveness from a patient reader). But still, it is recommended to read the story about the trip before-otherwise some references here will be incomprehensible.

Kostroma

The ancient city (Yuri Dolgoruky founded!), Famous tourists well -known, deservedly popular, lively and cute. Therefore, there is no need to apply for any revelations, we offer to simply admire the views. Although with your own eyes-better, get to Kostroma somehow. Only four hours from Moscow on a "swallow". Stop thoroughly and do not be too lazy to go to museums.

The Ipatievsky Monastery, which is founded, according to legend, by the Tatar Murza named H even, to which the Virgin with the saints appeared here in order to heal from the disease. Murza, of course, was baptized and moved under the sovereign hand of Grand Duke Ivan Kalita.

The legend is defeated by historians (historians love to smash legends), it is proved that they composed it by order of Boris Godunov, who was numbered in his ancestors - to exalt the not -no -noble Kostroma clan. Boris made his career at court, he needed to somehow shoot down the arrogance from representatives of ancient Moscow families. Then, becoming the king, he turned this matter to the executioners, the executioners coped better, of course, than the writers of legends. But this is not so important, it is important that in the monastery there is a magnificent Trinity Cathedral with the frescoes of Guria Nikitin and an excellent museum.

In the monastery, young Mikhail Romanov lived under the curtain of unrest, from here he was called to Moscow, to reign, and his descendants treated a special trepidation to Kostroma. In 1913, on the three hundredth anniversary of the dynasty, the Romanovsky museum was built in the city (the project was coordinated with Nicholas II, the construction was partially financed).

There are enough different antiquities in Kostroma, among the most famous are the patterned Church of the Resurrection on Debre (mid -17th century). There are no debrais remaining in the name now, of course. There are no murals that, among other masters, also, also they say, the divine Guri worked. Everything is smeared, on top of the Great - classicism badly.
