The director of the Satire Theater leaves his post, the Ministry of Culture considers cooperation with him "in a different status"

The director of the Moscow Academic Satire Theater Igor Berlin leaves his post, writes RBC with reference to the press service of the institution. Its place will be taken by Pavel Nestratov, who has been served by the director of the Moscow State Musical Ballet Plastic Ballet Plastic Ballet Theater since 2012.

The head of the Moscow Culture Department, Alexei Fursin, told TASS that the department was considering possible cooperation with Berlin "already in a different status."

On the eve of the Department of Culture of Moscow, he said that the artist of the Satire Theater will be the People's Artist of Russia and the deputy of the Moscow City Duma Yevgeny Gerasimov. According to him, the theater should “return to the origins”, “to those performances that made and formed the special style of this theater, which was not like any other.”

Also, a day earlier it became known that Vladimir Mashkov became the director of the Contemporary Theater, and Konstantin Bogomolov was appointed the artistic director of the theater Viktyuk.
